Bedtime Braid Swag – Braid Care Night-time Routine
For this set of box braids extensions, I keep my nighttime routine similar to my loose natural hair routine. I basically moisturize and seal every night. Keep reading for details.
Step 1
I spritz with a braids spray (mist) with something very light and water-based. For now I am using the Hair & Scalp Spray by African Pride. Sometimes I add tea tree oil if my scalp is itchy but I do not spray anything on my scalp directly.
Step 2
I then seal in the moisture with an oil. I put the oil in my hand and rub through with my fingers to ensure that I get as many plaits or twists as possible. Today I am using the Beautiful Textures Shine and Silken Growth Oil. I apply the oil to my scalp if it feels dry.
Step 3
I turn my head upside down and make a loose bun on the top of my head and secure it with a satin scrunchie (home-made).
Step 4
I tie a satin scarf forward or put on an old stocking cap or satin cap. I don't really use satin pillow cases anymore because I use oil in my hair at night and don't want it to get on my acne prone skin.
Yup. It's that easy. I likes to keep it simple. The entire routine takes me about 5 minutes and it is a good time clear my mind. A bedtime routine can actually be quite calming before going to sleep. Anyway. I hope that this blog post was helpful.

ReplyDeleteHello Natural Hair Extensions. I'm not very knowledgeable about bonding. Please refer to your stylist for information.
ReplyDeleteSome people wear clip-ins just for night life, while others wear them every day to work. This shows the versatility of this type of hair extension. hair extensions
