I did it...

and liked it. I only did seven sloppy flat twists. I also put curlers on the end to prevent them from unraveling. I got lots of compliments and TONS of stares - the good kind of stares. UNfortunately I got a horrible migraine attack and left work to roll in bed, crying in pain and trying to fall asleep (and not puke - i have the worse migraines). The end result - my style is all messed up. I doubt it will last till tomorrow.

I had an exam at school later in the day and so I put a hair comb in to push back the side that was slept on.This pic has such a fake smile. I felt like crap but liked the style a lot. Anyway, here is what it turned out to be...

Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what to do with it tomorrow. Check back soon to see what happens. Until then, Keep It Kinky.

  1. Wooh, this is great! Any products used? I have GOT to learn how to do a flat twist.

  2. Oh. I can't believe I left out the products. I used raw coconut oil, cantu shea butter and a little lottabody setting lotion.

  3. You're so innovative with your hair, I need to learn that. I'm stuck in a rot with my two-strand twists because I'm too chicken to do something that may potentially NOT work. Maybe I can start experimenting by getting so fancy clips to jazz things up a bit. Hmm...ideas?
