Recipe for a Hot Teeny Weeny Afro

What if I don't look good with a teeny weeny afro? What if I don't look feminine enough. I know the fear. I dealt with it myself before I did my first Big Chop. I had no idea how easy it was to rock a Hot little fro. Here was my recipe for a hot look.

A dash of confidence (You must know that you are beautiful just as you are)
One pair of large fashionable earrings (An obvious feminine accent)
A nice shade of lipstick

*Tip
A dash of confidence is a great raw ingredient on its own. The other ingredients are garnishes that don't really change the taste you leave in others' mouths but they may enhance the first ingredient.

  2. I am so into earrings since my big chop, I also take small pieces of hair along my hairline and twirl into little curls to frame my face.

  3. I agree with Nicole...earrings are a great way to hook up a cute twa. Plus a twa shows off beautiful features (i.e. eyes, lips, cheekbones). Put on a fly pair of earrings and a great lipstick...no one can tell you a darn thing! :o)

  4. This is a great recipe indeed. I BC'd in January 09 and was a little apprehensive about unveiling my new do. My confidence, earrings, and lipstick & eyeshadow have carried me a long way. I'm more confident now than ever and love my Teeny Weeny Afro.

  6. Last time I went naptural I didn't go for the Big Chop. On December 30th, I decided to go for the teeny weeny fro. I've got about an inch of hair and I've taken to twisting the hair and I really like it. Check it http://www.facebook.com/pages/edit/?id=144140574963#/pages/Teeny-Weeny-Afro/144140574963

  7. December 30th, 2009. I finally took the steps towards real freedom. Rockin' my teeny, weeny in the office has been nerve wracking but I'm so glad I worked up the courage to finally do it. I added baby twists to my do and I love it more than evah.

  8. I agree with everything you all have stated. Only thing is I'm trying to do other styles with my hair but its to short just need some patience. I've tried the twist but only kept them 4 days not for me right now I really felt bald people kept starring at me maybe I was a little parinoid but I know i wasn't confident. Anyway I'm trying new stuff but really enjoying my hair. I've only been natural about 2months and did my big chop about 1month ago. Ready to grow!

  9. Good for you NhappyBeauty. It's all about enjoyment. Hair isn't that serious. Just make sure that you are enjoying your journey or if you have a goal in mind, working towards something you know you'll enjoy. Good luck on your journey.

  11. I did my BC about 4 months ago and I love my twa. I don't have my ears pierced, so I don't wear earrings, eyeshadow, or lipstick. My look consist of a lil' cocoa butter on my face and chapstick on my lips. LOL... I think it's cute. :)

  12. I actually don't care who likes my hair and who does not like my hair...

I love it and THAT IS ALL that counts.
    Earrings, no earrings.
    Lipstick, no lipstick.

WE are all fabulously feminine, even when we do not try!
