I found an old bottle of Organics by Africa's Best She Butter and Tea-Tree Oil Moisturizer. It was from an old relazer kit I had so I decided to use it instead of throw it out.
Pros
- Great natural ingredients.
- No flaking.
- Works well as an oil to seal after using a moisturizer on wet hair.
- Good for straightened hair.
Cons
- I can smell the olive oil ingredient and it's not nice. Frankly, it stinks.
- It doesn't make my hair feel very soft. It's more of an oil.
- Not great for kinky, natural hair.
1. adding glycerin will give you the softness you desire.
ReplyDelete2. adding just a little extra oil (since it's mostly oil anyway) with a few drops of essential oil of choice (make sure to first dilute the essential oil with a good carrier oil like almond, grape seed, etc.) will cover the olive oil smell. BTW, olive oil is also a good carrier oil. adding essential oils will mask it's fragrance as well.

Thanks Vee. You're telling me a few things I wasn't sure of. Thanks! I plan on making my own mixture in two months so that info will be of good use.
