SWATCHES AND REVIEWS | Magenta Lipstick Comparison

I love my blue undertone magenta lipsticks! I have two magenta lipsticks and will be wearing the heck out of them this summer 2012. Hey, I have to get my money's worth, right? Sigh. I'm so deep in love! Keep reading to see why.

Magenta Madness by Milani gives the nicest stain and stay on for about half a day in full force. It's super-creamy consistency doesn't leave my lips dry and works well in conjunction with a very thin layer of lip balm underneath to maintain moisture. It will even last through an oily meal. I tend not to enjoy reapplying so I usually just put a gloss on top after lunch and this thing POPS right back up. Love it. Now check out the stain (below) on this sucker 7 hours after, after eating two fairly oily meals and occasional water and juice drinking.

Now, you may remember the other magenta (my other favourite) that literally lasts ALL day and leaves an equally beautiful stain that looks like more of a lipstick and less of a stain. That other lipstick is the, Kiss New York Maxishine Lipstick in Magenta pictured below. I like it but it's not as creamy and moisturizing. Maybe that is why it lasts a little bit longer.

Now see them side by side below as pictured above. I love the look of Magenta Madness by Milani more but Magenta by Kiss New York lasts the longest and is ultimately my favourite lipstick of the past two years. Which is your favourite. What will you be rocking for the summer months?
