5 Favourtie Finds of 2012 - Beauty

You don't have to be a makeup guru to make significant changes to your beauty routine this 2013. Here are the 5 things/processes that I'd rather not live without in 2013. Maybe you could try them too.

1. Threading!

I've been getting my brows threaded for a few months and the ends of my brows are actually re-appearing and i don't need to do any crazy filling. I just seems to have naturally sculpted brows. At least, I think so. LOL. All thanks to Sherene, a Jamaican threader. Check her out using the image below. You can also find her ad in Issue 2 of KiK Magazine.

2.  Milani Cream to Powder Foundation

This thing blends into my skin flawlessly. I could literally do one swipe with my finger of this on my skin and you wouldn't know it's there.  You'd just see a section of flawless skin. LOL. I use it with the sponge provided for a flawless look. It doesn't break me out and doesn't make me look oily. Also, I can dance ALL night with this thing and it stays on! Gotta love it ladies. Gotta love it. You should try it if you haven't before.

3. Phillips Milk of Magnesia

I didn't understand how this could help oily skin. I've seen people raving about it for years on YouTube but only tried it this year. It has been a lifesaver. OK, maybe not, but it certainly preserves my makeup look. I apply it with a cotton pad and it keeps my face matte for hours. I used it just yesterday for wedding makeup that lasted about 10 hours before there was a wee bit of oiliness shining through. I apply my makeup on top of this thing with no problems and the combination of it and my Milani magic makeup is fantastic. No more oily skin smearing off my makeup. I love it.

4. MAC Lipsticks

I have fallen in love with the mattes but my favourites so far are in Russian Red, Viva Glam III and  Cyber. I'm so in love. Viva Glam III is my everyday red.

5. Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser

This thing give a great clean that does not strip your skin of it's natural oils. I do two washes and don't need a lot of product. It's a must for me when removing the remainder of my makeup and has positively impacted my acne regimen.

Don't forget to read Issue 2 of the KiK Magazine.
