The rain descended heavily but that didn't stop the night's proceedings. An intimate group of invited guests turned out to Kushites Vegetarable Cuisine in Kingston, Jamaica, for a late brunch once the event got underway. The event was hosted by Kushite's in association with Island Naturals. Here are a few picture highlights from the evening.

Brunch kicked off after a rainy start and slightly late start which made us even more anxious for the tasty treats at Kushites. The highlight of my meal, pictured below, featured a falafel & jambalaya cous cous prepared by the fabulous executive chef and co-owner, Kush Tafari.

Good laughs and times were had by all. Even after the brunch ended, the fun continued.

Iset Sankofa provided a nice array of African-inspired rhythms and other diverse music to keep the good mood going throughout the evening.
