You may have been like me. I thought I knew how to plait and couldn't understand why my hair was always tangled after taking them down. I was frustrated every time I tried to do a braid-out. It took years for me to learn the proper plaiting technique.
Here are the main tips for creating tangle-free, perfect plaits.
1. Get three even sections.
2. The length of all the sections must be the same.
3. While plaiting, never borrow hair from another section. This is the main cause of tangles.
4. If one section ends up shorter at the end, add gel/water and curl the hair around your finger to seal the plait.
There you go! Now you can do a perfect, tangle-free plait. Now you can try to do that braid-out that never quite turned out right before. Do you have any more tips or suggestions. Leave a comment!

Great tips; I am definitely guilty of borrowing hair from other sections!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shevonn! It's a bad habit. Before you know it we do it without thinking and then end up confused about why our hair is tangled. lol.
