Ignoring their ignorance (since her hair was not in a braid), this just sounds like racism and... well, complete NONSENSE. It hurts me to say this since I rarely pull the racist card. Really thought, I didn't realise that there are schools that still don't allow braids - of any kind. Ugh! When will we start to teach our children about the things that are really important in life. She's such a cutie pie. I hope this doesn't crush her sense of creativity and self-expression.

She is adorable. I don't know why they see this as a braid. I would interpret it as a funky bun. But why ban braids anyway? I don't see a logic in that at all.

ReplyDeletehmmm that is strange, kids and people in general should be free to wear their hair how they see fit. Last time I checked a bow was not a braid and if they consider that a braid, I guess they dont want you wearing any type of style that permits the hair to be intertwined. As the brits would say rubish lol
