Your hair is a little fuzzy? So what! That's what some types of natural hair do... they fuzz.

After just three weeks and three washes, my senegalese extensions are already on their way out... but I'm not phased. I think that sometimes we try a little too hard to always be and look perfect... or what we think people will perceive as perfect. That's why this morning after waking a bit late, I just threw my hair into an effortless ponytail to keep it off my face and kept it moving. No lipstick - no brow grooming (I forgot) and fully focused on achieving my goals for the day. There are a few good reasons for keeping it simple.

Here are five reasons to keep it simple:

1. Other people aren't usually very hard on you. Most people see the entire package - not just the hair. If you are well put-together, your simple hair will not detract from your overall look. 
2. It's never quite as bad as you think. You are your worst critic. 
3. Keeping it simple allows you to maintain your look in the way you desire. 
4. It also allows you more time to focus on your true goals in life. 
5. My favourite point – It allows you the opportunity to exploit your 'wow factor.' You will look extra 'foine' on that special date when you decide to spend the extra time getting dolled up. You'll blow people away - not because you don't look good everyday, but because they are impressed by how much more you had going than they'd previously realised.

Spend your time and money on things that are most important to you. Think of everything as an investment in your present and your future. Will the extra effort in your present make you a happier, better or more fulfilled person in the future?
