Born Byiome Muir in Clarendon, Jamaica, I-Octane began his career by singing in his Sandy Bay house. He graduated high school before jumping into the biz. He is now an internationally loved dancehall-reggae.
VP Records and Scikron will released I-Octane’s debut album, ‘Crying To The Nation,’ in 2012. ‘Crying To The Nation’ has taken Jamaica by storm, boosting an impressive pool of conscious dancehall movement filled with the likes of Tarrus Riley and Queen Ifrica. Following in a similar vein of his predecessors Sizzla, Capleton and Buju Banton, his lyrics express sentiments of faith, romance, social justice and compassion for the ghetto youth.
