BB: Hey Nicole. It's been a while since we've seen you on KiK as our resident makeup specialist and I see you've started a business. Tell us about it.

Nicole: Yes! it has been a while. Glad to be back! I started my own business which is called Other Half Cosmetics. We offer makeup, hair and skin care services to clients in Calgary, Alberta and surrounding areas.  In the near future we will be coming out with a color cosmetics line by the name of OHC Beauty.

BB: Fantastic! How did you come up with the name Other Half Cosmetics?

Nicole: Makeup does not only transform someone on the outside, but the inside as well! When you look and feel beautiful, you gain this kinda confidence. You stand taller, you're not afraid to be noticed. When you use makeup to enhance your natural beauty or to dramatize your look, you become your other half, an alter ego and that's where the name Other Half Cosmetics stems from.

BB: So who are your clients?

Nicole: I do lots of weddings, special events, photo shoots, fashion shows and recently I just got into film. I worked on my first film called Inner Quest as the head makeup artist. That was a great experience.


BB: Where is Other Half Cosmetics going to be in 5 years?

Nicole: In five years I hope that Other Half Cosmetics will only continue to grow and provide great services and products to our clients.  One of my business aspirations is getting into T.V, I've always wanted to work behind the scenes getting cast members and hosts ready for their show.
