The Kiss New York Maxishine Lipstick in Magenta is my favourite purchase of 2011. I got it on a trip to rural Virginia and I'm just about ready to open my second tube. Yes, I got two and hope to get more.
It is a little hard to get off, but here is why I love this lipstick so much and have nothing bad to say about it:
- Superior Coverage. When used without heavy, oily lip balm underneath, this product gives full coverage and totally covers my freckled lips. I could blank out my lips with concealer for special occasions but for a night or day out, this is excellent coverage for me.
- Long-Lasting. This lipstick doesn't die! It never fails me. I wore this thing for a full day of sigh-seeing in DC immediately followed by a fabulous and oily meal at the Cheesecake Factory in Tyson's Galleria and this thing was still on. Of course it wasn't quite the same but it worked for me.

- It doesn't crack or bleed. A lot of my lipsticks bleed or crack. This did not.
- It's frikkin CHEAP... I mean, inexpensive. This thing is beyond value for money - unlike another lipstick I'll review soon. I'm just dreading putting that one on but the review is coming soon.
Go get it... if you can find it. I've only ever heard of it being in black beauty supply (BSS) stores but you can order it online. There are many colours to choose from.

ReplyDeleteHey Akisa. Thanks. I used to say I couldn't pull off these colours too. This one is super-cheap. You should try it and see how it works for you... get ta few opinions and stuff from people who matter to you.
