KiK: A clothing line is a lot of work. What inspired you to start the line?
Ose: It is a LOT of work (looking for an intern so if you're interested email me..;). I started my line because I saw there was a huge void of plus size vintage and wanted to give my curvy girls the option to this apparel. With my faith in God I finally pushed myself to stop making excuses and just do it! The other reason that I enjoy the most is making women feel beautiful! I know it sounds corny...but it's the truth! It's funny because I get the most joy hearing back from customers who loved their pieces or happy that I provide unique, one-of-a-kind of clothing for plus-size woman, It a boost the confidence because being a plus-size girl myself, I know it hard to find clothing that separates me from other curvy girls out in stores.

KiK: Your clothes are really nice and simply unique. Who designs the line?
Ose: My line is eco-friendly! What I do is shop all over the country to find the best vintage pieces. I take those pieces and reconstruct them to fit plus size. It like I am starting out with a pattern, change the designs to more flattering, fun or larger to fit my customer. If you go on the website and click reconstructed, you will see all the pieces that I have redesigned.

KiK: I notice that you stick to basic styles with a twist. What is the inspiration behind Ose's clothing?
Ose: What inspires me is providing clothing that separates my customer from the rest, to be worn day or night. With vintage, you have to think creative and that is what makes it fun for me! A lot of my pieces most people would see on a rack and keep moving because it's not always trend-right, easy to put together or bold..but once you take that piece, accessories and mix up the new with the old, you make a unique statement. My style icon is Tracey Ellis Ross, and I love how she can take the simplest things, adds a little twist and she creates masterpiece looks. That's what I want to provide to my customer, that's my inspiration.
KiK: Describe your perfect customer?
Ose: My perfect customer is that curvy girl who is not afraid to take risk with fashion, threw out the rule that black is the safe color for plus-size and has an appreciation for vintage. She is someone who can see an outfit past what's hanging on the rack and loves to express herself through her clothing. My goal is to make all my customers feel this way!
