I haven't been blogging as much because I've been crazy ill. Nevertheless, that illness has inspired this weeks Tip of the Week! Why? I couldn't wash my hair! If I even washed my face, it set me into a crazy chest-crushing sneezing fit that seemed endless. Well here is what I did to keep my hair smelling fresh and feeling clean.
Here is how I did it:
- Add about 6 drops of tea tree oil to a small spray bottle of water. (Tea tree oil is an anti-fungal that is very effective against bacteria.)
- Shake the bottle and mist your hair and scalp with water. Don't get it wet now. Just slightly damp.
- Massage your scalp with the pads of your fingers. This loosens up the dirt.
- Add a nice scented oil like Beautiful Textures Shine and Silken Growth oil and you're good to go.
I usually wash my hair every 4 days but this left my hair moisturised and smelling fresh for two weeks. I may use this method to stretch my washes to once a week!
