Hair of the Day | Curly Twists

DAY TWO: Curly Twists

It took about 3 and 1/2 hours to achieve setting this style but I got it done over two days. Here is how I did it.

  1. Washed and blow-dried hair.
  2. Wore loose updo styles for two days.
  3. Twisted hair with Cantu® Shea Butter Moisturizing Twist and Lock Gel
  4. Sprayed hair with water and Infusium 23 to dampen.
  5. Set hair on small/medium perm rods.
  6. Allowed to fully dry overnight.
  7. Removed the rods, fluffed and went.
DAY ONE: Curly Twists
Tip #1
Do you have thin hair that looks lifeless when in twists. Dampen your twisted hair on rollers to create more volume. I set my hair because the twists turned out uncharacteristically thin and limp (partially because of heat damage).

Tip #2
Always set hair while damp. It will give a much more defined set. Be careful in adding any thick products to hair is you already have product on your hair from the twisting process  as this may cause build-up or flaking. Try something light light Lottabody Setting Lotion or Foam Spray.
