I Need Your Feedback ASAP

PLEASE VOTE! I'd really appreciate it. I've been wearing my hair in a fro... and although I like it, I prefer getting up and going. For that reason... well, I had locs before, but I'm trying to decide on it again. (Don't judge me BUT I' feeling sick of dealing with my hair in the mornings) I would start with plaits so my decision won't be permanent but it may still cost a little extra to get it plaited on the grid. Although this poll will not completely make my decision for me, I'd like to know what you, my lovely readers, think. Comments are also welcome but...

Please look at the pictures above and below then vote - locs or no locs?

Do I look better with or without locs?
With locs.
Without locs.
Both are nice.

  1. I voted that you look better with locs but it's not because I think you don't look good with your loose hair. I've been following you for a long time and seen your hair at so many lengths and you do a fabulous job styling. Your loose natural hair is beautiful. I'm sure you'll do equally well with locs if you think of them more as giant strands than braids/twists. A more important question is "are you ready to deal with the loc process?" I'm 8 months in and I've needed more than the freedom of not managing my loose hair to get me through those extreme fuzz days. You've got a certain resolved air about you that tells me you may be ready--but you have to believe it yourself. Be Blessed!

  2. You look great with both. This may be an unfair poll, however, because of noticeable differences between the photos unrelated to the hair. The loc pictures are both of a higher quality than the loose hair shots. In addition, the loc pictures are seemingly better shots of you.

  3. Thanks Natacha. You're definitely right. There is a sort of resolve and comfort... maybe because I'd be starting with plaits so the commitment isn't as great until a few months in and the investment is low. I'm so blessed! Thanks. You stay blessed too.

  4. Hi Anonymous. I hope people will look at the picture below as well which is of the same quality. I didn't think any to be better shots of me either but I get what you're saying. Hopefully the readers/viewers will be able to look past that towards the style in general. Thanks for you comment!

  5. Hi Diedre!! I had to chime in. I love your hair on any occasion. Loosed it is awesome the styles you come up with, locked it was a pleasure seeing the journey. If I had to choose one though, I'd say locked.

I am not sure what it is about it, but they gave you more of an "edge" as they say. They look flawless on you and relatively easy to care for from what I recalled of your journey. So I say go for the locs!!

  7. Hi Afroniquely
    I really appreciate your comment.

Anonymous, Thank too. You all are making this a fairly easy thing to try again - the locs of course.

  8. I like your locs, but my question is would you miss your fro if you locked? If so, maybe you could alternate between twists and loose styles. When I get tired of dealing with my hair, I put it in small twists for about 2 or 3 weeks and by then, I'm missing my big hair and ready to deal with the maintenance again. If not, I re-twist it. If you don't think you will miss you loose hair, then loc it up and enjoy!!
